KK type junction boxes

KK type junction boxes

Purpose
The KK type junction boxes are used for the connection and branching of cables with a core section from 1.5 to 4 mm2 in AC electrical circuits with a voltage of 220/380 V and a frequency of 50 Hz in explosion non-hazardous areas.
The boxes can be used in intrinsically safe circuits of explosion hazardous areas rated as Ex-Ia, Ex-Ib, and Ex-Id according to the classification of the Electrical Installations Code (EIC).
Climatic version U, location category I as per GOST 15150-69.

Description
The KK type junction boxes consist of a steel body with a cover, a terminal block with screw clamps, and cable entries with glands.
Cables to be interconnected are laid to the box installation place and are inserted into the junction box through gland entries.
The cable cores are connected with proper terminals as specified in the wiring diagram.
